BEWARE OF SCAMMERS “SELLING/RE-SELLING” TICKETS ONLINE.” Swamp Pop Reunion XVIII will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Civic Center in Ville Platte, Louisiana, the “Swamp Pop Capital of the World!” Tickets are available at four (4) Ville Platte locations – the Louisiana Swamp Pop Museum, Ville Platte City Hall, KVPI Radio, and Floyd’s Record Shop. Tickets are also available on-line through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/.../18th-annual-swamp-pop... Eventbrite will send you an email showing ticket purchase confirmation. You will show this email at the reunion to enter the event. You may also print your Eventbrite tickets and present these at the door. Tickets cannot be purchased by phone or mail. Tickets are still $25 per person, and attendees must be at least 18 years old. The Civic Center is located at 704 North Soileau Street, Ville Platte, Louisiana. Doors will open at 5:30 PM, and music by “Cypress and Willie Tee” will begin at 7:00 PM. Featured performers include: Johnnie Allan, Lynn August, Jivin’ Gene, Grace Broussard, Arthur Broussard, Roy Chaffin, Tet Dur, Junior Dugas, T. K. Hulin, Sir Christopher John, Gregg Martinez, Ken Marvel, Bert Miller, Gary Thibodeaux, Kenny Tibbs, Ryan Vanacour, Don Rich, and Charlie Veillon. Musicians sitting in with “Cypress” are Earl Taylor, Mike Vice, Sid Janise, and Mike Pollard.
